They Followed Me!............

..............tumbleweeds followed me all the way from Texas! Honestly i have seen more tumbleweeds since i moved to California than i ever did in TX. In TX there was  a house along a busy street and every year when they decorated their house for Christmas they made a tumbleweed snowman.........It was SO cool..........The newspaper did a story on them once and they said every year they have to travel further and further to find large tumbleweeds.....Well they are plentiful here.......i could ship them some......there are tumbleweeds on almost every street in the development...it looked like we were being invaded....' Invasion of the Body Snatchers!!!' LOL!

For the space of about 30 nano-seconds i thought we could make a tumbleweed snowman for our yard but i can't even imagine how much white spray paint and time that would take.....uughh....

Plans for a little hiking this weekend.....Ohlone Wilderness Trail at DeValle Regional Park in Livermore.....From online observations looks VERY hilly.....not sure how far we'll get but it will be fun.....suppose to be gorgeous views if i can get to the top of any of the hills.....But we are talking 2 and a half miles of nothing but up, so i don't know.....probably biting off more than i can chew...its a habit of mine......lol Have a great weekend!!! Got my fingers crossed for the 49ers.....loved them ever since Joe Montana played for them.........yeah ......i'm that old.......Hugs! deb

I didn't even think there WERE still tumbleweeds. Never really thought about them when I see them in westerns. But it sure looks strange to see them in a residential neighborhood. What kind of weeds collect to roll into a tumbleweed anyway. I think I'm going to have to go to Google. Fun post!

I was wondering what kind of weeds those were too!...and I didn't think they would be in a survey either. Cool looking actually.
I love hiking and so looking forward to spring so we can get out and about more.
My one daughter, son-in-law and of course the two boys, love the 49ers! They all have 49 jerseys even. Joey is thrilled to be home from Kuwait just in time to watch them in the Superbowl. Me, I'm more of a hockey and baseball person! Have a great hike girl!

Jeez, what is it with you, Deb?? The water follows you home from the beach. The tumbleweeds follow you all the way from TX.

What might we expect will follow you home from your hiking trip?

Sorry about the 49ers. I was rooting for them too.
