From Sketchbook to a Giveaway!.......

........Well from where we left off two weeks ago you can see i added a few things.......mainly Mr. Owl. And i finished coloring the top two blocks.... If you don't remember where we left off go here.

Then i thought wouldn't it look incredible with a back ground... but what to do??? I just couldn't see myself fussy cutting out the image to paste on a back ground...... Well i had this cool scrapbook paper with all the writing on it. So i copied both into Paint and placed my image on top of the scrapbook paper image and then this non techno savy person (ME!) used the background eraser tool and erased all the white so the scrapbook paper would show... How cool is that...... ?? It was a little time consuming and there is probably a better way i could have accomplished the same thing . But let me tell you i'm pretty tickled pink with the result.....

I'm soooo tickled in fact that i tried to print some out and lo and behold i got a decent print....... The color is deeper than what this photo above shows. Crappy lighting what can i say...... They are 4x6. And i'd like to give them to two lovely followers....... So the rules are simple..... i like simple.......

1. Be a Follower.......easy peasy
2. Leave me a comment......easy peasy
3.Check back here next Friday to see if you've won
4. Make sure.....make SURE i can get a hold of you... leave your
email in the comment...whatever you need to do... I will announce the winners on the blog on Friday July 25th.
5. You will have 48 hours to email me your snail mail addy at
Nuleaf@comcast.net After that i will pull another name from the hat.......Good Luck!!!!! Hugs!!! deb

Man!! I fit the bill. Red Rover, Red Rover send box art right over!!

When you asked what I would put in a box this art just blew right by me. This is another piece of your art that just grabs me. I want it realllly bad. Feathers flying off the owl wing and heather on the ground are just little touches that make this piece so special. Bet Hubs likes THIS one!!

xx, Carol

That is cool, Deb. I love the drawing alone, but the scrapbook paper background is the perfect finishing touch. You're so sweet to give two of them away.

Of course, I'd love to have one to add to my Deb Terry collection ;-)
