My Early Morning Companion..............

...............you know i think he actually watches the videos....lol ... His ears will twitch like he's listening and sometimes i'll catch him moving his head following someone's finger or paintbrush across the screen...........I've been watching some painting videos on YouTube over coffee in the morning.... I like to think i'm learning a few things...lol.......... My most recent discovery is Betty Franks Mystic Tulip Art...   I attached a link to one of my favorite videos of hers.....  She hasn't made too many but i hope she will continue....

Did you make it to midnight on New Years???? Not me...we were in bed by 11ish i say.... Hubby fell asleep on the couch so we just gave up and went to bed...lol....

I've been diligently working with all our photographs...getting them out of old , falling apart albums and putting them in photo storage boxes . I thought it best to move them that way. I really have procrastinated but now i have it almost done.... A good job done .

I've been mulling over a thing or two...Oh No! right?  But i wonder.... how long do you hang onto your kid's things...you know stuff from childhood............ When should it become their possession to lug around with them thru life......? When children are well into adulthood shouldn't it be up to them if they want to keep it or let it go?? And if so , why do i feel so guilty about doing it?  Sigh... such are my thoughts these days.... days of packing ...what to keep ....what to let go........

If you have a few minutes click here and let me introduce you to
ThePianoGuys ......If you've never heard of them then your very , very welcome...:) Visiting with my Tea Drinkers today over at Ms. Elizabeth's ! Hugs! deb

Good job to get those photos sorted and packed in photo boxes. Those old photos cannot be replaced and it would be a shame to lose them.

Kids stuff - I feel your pain. I did send a bunch of their stuff with them when they had their own houses but I still have some of it! Like you, I cannot seem to get rid of it.

Love the piano guys! Nice!

I'm going to check out that painting video as well. If Jinx likes it, I may too!

I still have my son's legos and books. And some of his art. Someday maybe a few grandkids to play with them. xox

I handed my son's stuff over to him and long time ago. I am surprised just how much he has kept (Rupert Bear albums for example), but at least I have cleared some spaces.

Your comment about the sheep nuts is interesting. 'My' farmer says he is not absolutely sure what exactly is in the nuts we give our sheep, but he will bring in a bag label later. He also says that the sheep love them once they get the taste; it is getting them to come when you first put them down that is the trouble, especially if there is plenty of grass, which there is this year. He is always glad when they get a taste for them as it makes them so easy to get in for foot trimming, drenching etc. They hear the rattle of the bag and they come running!

I have managed to get a label off the bag'
The sheep nuts contain
all kind of vitamin additives.
Wheat feed and wheat distillers.
Palm kernel.
soya hull.
Calcium carbonate.
Cane molasses.
Rape meal.
Vegetable oil.

You did a great job getting those photos in photo safe boxes. I have all my old photos in my basement where it has flooded twice. I've never tried to get to them because I know I'll be sick when I do.

As for kids, I've never had any, so I can't advise you in any way. Cats don't acquire much and when they do, they usually find a way to tear it up in the process.

Good luck finding your forever home. I'm sure it's out there, too. You just have to be patient and find it.

Thanks for sharing Jinx and that gorgeous coffee mug with us for T this Tuesday. I bet he's learning to paint right along with you.

I'll check out your links once I'm finished commenting. Always good to be introduced to something new. I love looking at you tube art videos and most times I do come away learning something-quite addicting at times though. Kids stuff... we only a few weeks ago got rid of our son's crib which was a really good one, but we figure that after 20 some years it's probably no longer considered safe! We do still have his photo albums, some toys and books etc. but only because he doesn't have a place in his apt. Oh, and I do have his christening outfit and the one I first brought him home in...just can't let those things go. Happy T day!

Karma sometimes watches the laptop screen or the TV. She especially likes nature shows. ;)

I ended up watching the painting lady!! Such a bright and cheery canvas! Now I'm following her, too--LOL! Happy T-Day! :)

I'm sure you kitty is learning something useful watching YouTube. Clearing out is going on here too but we aren't moving. Sorting photo's is a time consuming job isn't it? I'll bet you are happy to have it finished.

Hello and Happy T Day! How funny your cat is, mine hasn't done that before.
I have tons of school work and art and toys too. I have gone through it purged most but should again. I try to keep only what is really special and you can tell what it really is. Also I save all the certificate type things too and put in album. It's a hard job, good luck.

I'm so impressed with your new start for the year Deb,
Sorting out photographs is one of my life's work that I never seem to get to and as for the kids treasures since we moved back home I tried to pass back belongings only to be told "I don't want them... throw them out or give to charity". Some things I think are special and I've kept them but then I realise that although they do belong to my children they don't actually remember or have a memory about them. They were too young etc. So I made the decision what I wanted instead!
It worked for me ;D
Good Luck and I hope your New Year continues to be so productive.
Enjoy!
