A Quick Hummer Update....

Well i know its blurry but we were in a hurry... We didn't want to disturb her too much but can you see that??? Two, two little , itty, bitty, hummer eggs....  And she is such a brave little momma... She flits off the nest everytime we walk by and hovers off to the side making little pipping noises at us.... At first i was afraid we would eventually scare her off but she's determined to have her nest there right by the walkway.... Its fine now but i worry about when we start loading the moving truck in about a month.... I'm guessing the eggs will be hatched by then...Isn't it exciting!!??

The almond trees are in full bloom around here and i just had to get a picture before we left... the bees were buzzing and the smell was intoxicating... I would have loved to walk thru an orchard but somehow i don't think the farmer would appreciate that! lol  Take care and have an incredible weekend! I'll be packing.... Hubby turned to me last night and said  " You know ...we could just have a big yard sale..." ....Ha!  Hugs! deb

Hummingbirds are amazing. Some of the tiny little things fly from Canada to S. America and back year after year.

Our trees have looked like that all winter - but it was snow, not blossoms!

Happy packing....sorry, that's an oxymoron isn't it?

How I wish the birds were thinking of nesting here - it will be at least another month before that happens.

I have noticed our blue birds are scoping out the houses. The male evil English Sparrows, mortal enemies of the Blues, are chirping for a mate to take up residence...and the battle begins but a sure sign that Spring will be here soon!
