Hi there my Tea People!.... and everyone else! I'm so glad you popped in for a visit .  Today ends our little tour of my 'Disco Queen'.... Oh my goodness this week has been so crazy... Still dealing with plumbers....  They dug up the old lines and laid new lines up to the house... the house has old cast iron pipe and it is on a slab foundation .... the $$ would be astronomical to try to replace that pipe so we are trying to not have to do that... he is giving everything a good rotorotor and just hope for the best...  You should see my poor back yard... all dug up to lay not only the plumbing lines but the gas lines for the fireplaces... and run a gas line to the deck for our grill and a line into the kitchen so i can have a gas stove... and a gas line out to hubby's shop so he can work out there this winter...

I just finished cleaning the last room upstairs and now i will move downstairs... this top to bottom... wall to wall cleaning is for the birds aaannndd... a much younger person...uughh... Along with everything else Hubs and i are trying to celebrate our 26th Anniversary! With everything going on this one is kinda low key.... but hey some years are like that.... We did manage go out for a nice dinner and a movie... We saw Tomorrowland and i highly, HIGHLY recommend it. We loved it! Then we sang our heads off along with the 70's station all the way home... sheer bliss... neither one of us can carry a tune... good thing the windows were rolled up and the air cond running...lol

Okaayy! If you made it this far with all my rambling then lets start the tour!!!!  Remember this photo above?? You had just walked in the front door... Well last week you went up the stairs... lets go down today shall we???

At the bottom of the stairs... if you turn left you walk out into the garage... Which will soon be renamed my craftroom!!

As you stand in that doorway .. look to your left and above is what you see.... two windows... i'm happy about that!  Hubby has come so far working on my craftroom!  I'll show you that another day.

If you look to your right... above is what you see... It will be an incredible craftroom!  See that door on the wall??? Open it and below is what you will see...

Its like a little storage room. Love it!  Great for storing xmas and other stuff... Even some pantry items... Look forward to putting this to use...

There is a bathroom down here too....  bathroom /laudry room as the washer and dryer are in here too... it even has a shower which i think is overkill  buy hey.. whatever...

Keep going and you come to one of my favorite parts of the house...  This will be our entertainment area... hubby would love to see a pooltable in front of that fireplace... I could take it or leave it but if he wants one ... hey i'm game...

Turn the corner a little bit and thats where our tv.. entertainment unit will go....

Keep going around the corner and it even has a wet bar.... not that we are keeping that... Alvin wants one of those roll around old fashioned looking popcorn machines.... sigh... but hey.. i'm game...lol do you see a trend here??? :)  We each have different things we want out of this home and new life in Arkansas.... and it all meshes together beautifully... Thats what happens when each person wants to see the other person happy.... Aawwwww thats just some mushy Anniversary talk....:) Big Hugs! deb

PS... I remember my coffee mug today!!! Yipee!!!

Oh, heyyy, what a smashing craft room area you are going to have Deb. Wow-Whee! :D My area isn't even as big as your christmas store room, lol. I find it very exciting to see folks change a new home to what they want for themselves. It sends my imagination into overdrive, lol, so thanks for sharing.
Such a shame your back garden is suffering, but it's all in a good cause. Make the workers cookies and coffee and you'll be able to ensure they leave it nicely turned over and neatly ready for sowing a new lawn or for digging in mulch ready for plants and veggies. And they won't leave chunks of concrete hidden under the surface (don't ask me how I know, lol). Happy T Day :D
ps - I love your coffee cup :D

Had to stop by and see your cleaning post before I came here. I agree that stove was rather disgusting, wasn't it?

But on to T and your ANNIVERSARY. Good grief. My neighbor just had a bit of pipe replaced in her back yard and with the digging and back fill, it cost her nearly $12,000. I was shocked. I can see you two going into bankruptcy before you even get moved in.

Having your very own craft room is going to be wonderful. I know you are going to love it. It will be a real treat.

That's a nice area in the basement. I bet you two spend more time down there than you will in your more formal living area.

Thanks for spending your Anniversary with us at T this Tuesday, dear Deb. And of course, thanks so much for the rest of the tour.

WOW! Looks to me as if you are in the middle of LOTS of changes that will be so fun when you get done. Love that crafting room and bet that you will too. Take it easy on the cleaning though

What a great amount of space you two have there.
A new place to dance and sing and enjoy everything!
All of your planning and hard work will be worth it in the end I'm sure = so exciting.
Happy Happy Anniversary and here's to many many more Deb.
Happy T Day too.

This is a really cool house!! Plenty of room that's for sure. When Alvin gets that popcorn machine, make sure he gets one that the corn popper thingy can be removed and cleaned. Terry had to have one too so I speak from experience...unless of course, you are going to leave the cleaning of it to him, lol.

So, do you have another garage, or are you keeping the car outside? Just wondering.

Thanks for the update.
xx, Carol

Again, the charm and lovely spaces in your home are there and I can truly see why you wanted it so badly. The work will be a pain but -oh boy, once it's done what a real joy it will be to live in it each day! Love how you and hubby compromise:) We're married 32 yrs and after so long compromise is the best way. 70's music is my very favorite so I'd be singing and dancing with you! That is going to be an amazing craft room space too. Happy T day and a happy anniversary!

oh, i don´t envy you for the cleaning and the renovation, but i surely will envy you for this Studio when it will be finished!

and concerning the elderberry flowers: you can´t only make syrup from them, you can take them to bake in hot oil, covered with pancake dough. yummy!!

Oh dear, STILL working on the plumbing? Sorry to hear that it's going so slowly. On the positive side, though, your basement looks like it'll be a fun area, with the fireplace, the rec area, and your future craft room! Hang in there and have a happy T Day. :)

I love your attitude! "Thats what happens when each person wants to see the other person happy...." Perfect sentiment.
The house looks great...ugh the plumbing issue sounds awful. I'm going to have to go backward and look thru previous posts to get the full scoop. :)

Happy Anniversary!

We just got home from a great vacation in Arkansas. Beautiful part of the country!

Your entertainment area looks like it'll be a fun spot, and your crafts area will be perfect, I know. So exciting to be getting all settled into your home.

Happy anniversary! we celebrated ours on the 5th. wow you will have an amazing craft room and nice that the laundry is nearby so you could do both while in that space. No wood for the fireplace? but I guess gas would be easier-lol hopefully all that cleaning will be finished soon and you can get to painting and decorating-have a good week ahead
