Me Loves Me Some Watermelon..........

OH.....

YES .........

ME .......

DO!

The little one hasn't quite figured out what all the fuss is about..lol  But aren't those pictures just hilarious?! Who knew deer LOVE watermelon?.. I had no idea... but hubby knew.... and was he ever right... It must be a little difficult for them to chew because they chew and chew and chew... and chase each other off so they can have it all to themselves...   I have so many deer pictures of our evening visitors... We have a herd of about 10 and their fawns... About 5 fawns at last count...... SO darn stinking cute... Stay tuned...

Linking up with Ms. Elizabeth's T Party............  This is a sketch i started back in CA and got stuck...... I had the pyramid shape and the black and white squiggly wormy things but then i had no idea where to go with it.......So i just decided to play with it and see where it would take me..... I'm thinking a gargoyle sitting on top the ball ??? I've never tried to draw a gargoyle... I hope you have a fabulous week! They are promising us some rain.... We could really use it!  After a very wet Spring and early Summer things have gotten really dry around here......  Hugs! deb

What I love is that you weren't mad the deer are eating your watermelon!! How cool is that! Two years ago I put pumpkins out in the front yard which were incorporated in a fall scene under the front maple tree. The squirrels had a buffet! I never knew they ate pumpkins. They have never touched them since.

I like all things gargoyle. Perfect topper for the pyramid, I'd say.

We have hot and humid then 2 rain days in the forecast. Then I'll finish painting the deck. Funny, when we were young, we worked right through the heat. But I use it as an excuse to finish inside chores.

Love your pics.
xx, Carol

These photos are so adorable! I had no idea that deer like watermelon, but hey, who doesn't!

Looking forward to seeing your gargoyle sitting atop the ball.

Happy (early) T Day!

I used to love watching the deer until they got into my garden. Living here 17 years and this year they decided to get in my small raised garden and eat all our green beans. HA! HA!

My sister and my daughter say the same things about deer - they are lovely to see until they eat all the veggies and flowers!!! I guess if you don't have a garden it makes no difference if they visit.

I'm sure you will come up with something awesome on your sketch - you always do.

What gorgeous photos of the dear, I never knew they liked water melon. I know ducks like it, though. Your art is good, I think sooner or later you will know exactly what belongs on top of it. Happy T Day, Valerie

Great photos of the deer. They ARE cute. I also had no idea deer would eat watermelon. Such fun to see them eating it. Loved, too, that you used a deer on your coffee mug. Very clever.

Your drawing is coming along nicely. I think a gargoyle will be nice on top, but I wouldn't know how to draw one.

Thanks for sharing your deer, your deer mug, and your art with us for T this Tuesday.

Awww, those photos are gorgeous Deb; how special to have the deer visit twice a day. The route must be a traditional walkway for them I guess. Something 'inbuilt' to their brain perhaps. Who knows! I like watermelon too. Did you grow them, or did hubs put it out especially for them?
Your makeover is coming along, and yes, it will come to an end, lol. I keep putting off calling decorators to come give me quotes; I just dread the upheaval more than I'm disliking the current (tho' ancient), decor at the moment.
I love your deer mug, btw.
Happy Happy T Day {{Hugs}} xo

I am sure the deer will eat anything if they are hungry enough. Cute photos. I am throwing apples out to them into my neighbor's woods (with permission of course) since the trees are so old, and the apples not so good, but the deer love them. We have a group of 7 gals who hang out behind the big tall, dog fence. Ha. xox

It is really dry around here in VA too...yesterday with the humidity it felt like 100+ degrees = ugh!
Great deer pics...those rascals are visiting our garden during the night and munching things down to a nub. The hummingbird came looking for the hosta blooms it was enjoying just the day before but they were GONE.
Happy T Day ... look forward to what comes next on your doodle

The deer are a treat to watch, but I hear they can take a garden to the ground in a single trip. It'll be interesting to see how you manage to protect your garden while still enjoying the deer. Baby deer just never get old :)

Thanks for posting the photos of the deer. They are so cute to watch (in someone else's garden though). They will eat anything when hungry. Watermelon included.
I love your pyramid. I'm into doodling and zentangling. How about a woman's head with waving 'manes', Medusa type thing if you know what I mean....
Greetings from Spain,
Happy Tuesday,
Lisca#5

I knew they liked apples, but watermelon??? Really shouldn't surprise me, we had a Cocker Spaniel that loved watermelon too......crazy dog!

It's back up into the triple digits here again.....surprise, surprise!!

I like Lisca's Medusa idea, since you already have wormy things on that pyramid............but a gargoyle would be cute too.....if there is such a thing as a cute gargoyle......*grin*

Your deer photos are adorable!!! We have a lot of them here but they never come close enough to get a good photo ...at least not when I have my camera. I find their footprints and dropping in the yard in the mornings though so they do come up close at night. Your art looks great so far and I can't wait to see what you so with it. We ad a little bit of rain last evening ans more suppose to come tonight we need it too. Thanks for sharing everything this week ♥

Wow, what wonderful photos of the deer! Oh, I just noticed the deer Creek cup - clever girl.

I like your idea of a gargoyle. You exhibit such a vivid imagination in your art. So much of it is mystical and magical.

Wish I could send you some of our rain. We're having a great rainy season. The lake is almost full and we have a 4-level waterfall with pools up the mountain. Most of the time, that arroyo font is dry. This year is the most beautiful since we've moved here.

How wonderful to have your evening visitors coming so close to you. We have Roe deer here so I'll have to put some watermelon out for them to see if they like it.
I see a dragon stretching his wings sitting on the top of your pyramid... but there are lots of possibilities. Whatever takes your fancy. How exciting ;D
Enjoy and Happy PPF to you.
