Things Don't Always Turn Out ............

...........the way you see them in your head..........

This is done in my composition book... I had visions of flower beds going up hillsides and i thought wouldn't it be neat if the houses tilted with the hillsides... I still think it would be neat .. i just didn't execute it very well... lol

Then i wanted a wrought iron fence but had a lazy streak and didn't want to draw the plants and such that you would see behind the fence so..... thats where the all black fence came from...laziness... and i don't care for it..lol  But like most of drawings i usually come away at least with some new ideas and parts of it i like... I like the pointy top house and the trees..... and the roses on the brick wall...See so not all bad.. :)

We are still in recovery mode around here.... Hubs has good days and bad... He has his days and nights mixed up because his shoulder hurts him at night and he can't sleep , so then he sleeps during the day... hey... what ever works.. i just know he needs his rest so i try to keep it quiet around here so he can sleep....

Its a little dark but if my Tea People look close they can see a cup of coffee in this last picture... I have not been paid or compensated in any way for this little shameless plug .........But i have been playing alot of these games while trying to stay quiet for hubby...  They are Seek and Find games by Big Fish and i LOVE them!I always try to get the Collector's Edition.   They are fun and the artwork is spectacular, the graphics amazing and the brain games mixed in there are challenging but doable..Have you ever played any of these? Do you like them?  Well everybody this is a short post this week.... I need to go make supper so hubby can take his pills... Keep sending good thoughts... he's got to start feeling better sooner or later doesn't he?? :)   I'll leave you with a riddle from one of these games....

"  What travels around the world, but always stays in a corner?"...

I'd love to hear your guesses... :)  Hugs! deb

Gosh I hate that your Hubs is feeling off. I know how limiting that can be in YOUR life. Even though the drawing did not come off like you envisioned, it's awful pretty. I like big fish games. I play Gummy Drop. Far too addicting!!

It's terrible for both of you when hubs has his days and nights mixed up. Hope he recovers quickly.
Love your sketch and finished drawing. Very whimsical.....like it should be in a child's book which you would be great at illustrating - oh yeah, I've mentioned that before haven't I!!! You need to send some of these to some book agents! Seriously.

I mostly play strategic or word games. I do this late in the evening and I think too many brain cells would be asleep to do quizzes. I have no real guess for your quiz question - I could only come up with: love or hope.

I love your tilted onion-top house! I can see some of your concerns - once you point them out - but my first impression was, "Wow, that is really cool!"

I started a letter on Saturday. So far, it says, "Good morning Deb!" lol. Life just gets in the way sometimes. By coincidence, I'm on nurse duty for my poor hubby as well ;-( Don't you just hate when they're hurting? Mine's doing better. I'll tell more when I get back to that letter. Hugs, Eileen

LOVE the beautiful art. The onion shaped house may be a bit out of place, but it reminds me of the hills and famous twisted street in San Fransisco. It's a beautiful painting. I'm always in awe.

Sorry to read about your husband, especially since you both are normally so very active. I'm a night owl, so the hours would be OK for me.

I bet all your mail art friends know the answer to that question. It's a stamp, right?

Thanks for sharing your brain teaser, your beautiful art, and your coffee with us for T this nearly Tuesday.

Forgot to mention, the real brain puzzler is your question asking if deer like dill. I am a city girl, Deb, so have no idea. Halle might know, because she gets deer in her city garden, but there are no deer within 100 miles of where I live. Sorry!

I love your colored page, even if you don't think it turned out the way it was in your head. I actually think that leaning house is great. And of course you are allowed to be lazy and paint things black!
I'm so sorry your hubby is feeling so ill. I've had chemo myself and it will get better eventually.
Computer games.... I don't know that one. Is it what we call Hidden Objects? I really struggle with those because my English is not good enough. Often I don't know what is meant by what ever is wanted. But I agree that mostly the artwork is beautiful. As for the riddle... I have no idea! How about the wheels on my suitcase?
I play a game called Cradle of Empires. It is a 'match-3' game. Luckily for me it runs out of 'lives' quite quickly and then I have to wait several hours for new 'energy'. Just as well, otherwise I'd be on it all day. Very addictive!
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

what a gorgeous drawing and colorization of it deb!! I actually thought at first it was a coloring book page you colored in:) Hope your DH gets on track real soon-no fun for either of you for sure. I have never played any online games so am totally unfamiliar with them.
Have a great week and happy T day too!

here's my guess...a postage stamp???
I am not familiar at all with your games but how nice to have the entertainment when you need it Deb.
Hoping that the healing speeds along and that you and hubby can get back to a more normal and comfy routine. It is not easy to be as patient as we need to be with healing and it can really be discouraging not to mention being in pain! Hang in there ♥
Your drawing is magical... really wonderful.
Happy T Day and Happy August oxo

This is a fantastic drawing and so colourful, maybe not how you saw it in your mind, but great for us to look at. I love the tilted house.
Hope your hubby gets well soon and is in less pain.
I am not a computer games person, but I imagine it is a good way to escape and pass the time.
Happy T Day

Ugh...shoulder and back pain is awful. We (hubs and I) are both dealing with versions of it. I can't sleep on my preferred shoulder so sleeping isn't the best here either. Getting older isn't for the feint of heart. LOL
I love your colorful journal page. So whimsical. It maybe wasn't what was in your head but it is lovely!
I enjoy Big Fish games on my iPad but haven't ever seen these...interesting...not that I need another game.
Happy T day!

Well, I'm glad I can't see what was in YOUR head, cause I adore this journal page!!

Too bad Hubs is still not getting the rest he needs, but like you if it is during the day....so be it!

I love those search games, but I have gotten into more word games. I play Words with Friends and then GD, Hannah got me going on Picotword!

Love the PC you sent, but it was in the kitchen when I did my post, so I didn't get to share it yet.....LOL now that is lazy my dear!

Happy T-day

I see that cup of coffee. I've never really gotten into computer games, but I still manage to kill too much time on the computer. Hope the hubby's all healed up and out of pain soon. By the way-I love you little playful sketch too. Hugs-Erika

No Debs - no origami whale letter I'm afraid - sounds intriguing. I was just about to write to you because I began to wonder if it was my turn to write.
