Is this January or April????

Seriously...... its 65 degrees F here... I have my windows open! I'm not ready for Spring yet... and all the bugs and heat... I need..NEED more Old Man Winter..........

Bet you don't hear many people say that.......... but i don't live in an area that gets many terrible winter storms... If i lived in the Northeast ..yeah i'd probably be ready for Spring.... Above is a Christmas present i received this year... What a great name for a coffee company...lol Love it!

What have you been up to this week? We were creating magic..... Poof! We magically made this window disappear! This is the back of the house .... Last year or so we made the double metal doors that were on the left disappear... they were rusted through and through and to us were a security issue... just another place someone could break in on the back side of the house and we began to view that window the same way.. so we decided to take it out...It was on the right.....  The siding matches almost seamlessly... If the rest of the siding was as clean as the new you probably couldn't tell... Abracadabra!!!

We've been digging ditch too but i've had some time to play... You know what they say about all work and no play... I have a friend who wants her PostCards in an envelope so i decided to attach a piece of writing paper to the back of it and write her a proper letter...Again using up the scraps i have laying around...

Then i decided to make a BookMark with more of those stickers ....The butterflies were a hole punch and i put orange paper on the back side of the BookMark so it would show thru.....

And i was so enthused with recycling that i thought i'd share this new video i found on YouTube... Its by Cat Hand... I just love her and i love what she's made here...Its about 10 minutes long .. so if you have time and like this sort of thing check it out...

And finally my Tea People how about a peek out my window...shhhhh... don't scare them away... Do you see those two cuties cuddling in the top middle left... ?  I hope you enjoyed your visit and i'll be around to share a spot of tea with all of you! Hugs! deb

Removing an easy access for thieves is a very smart thing to do. We keep the gate to our backyard locked all the time for that same reason. We had a break-in about 9 years ago. Someone actually kicked in our front door. The police, insurance adjuster and door installer all said they were glad we were not home because who ever did it had to be either really, really strong or high on drugs. They had never seen a door kicked in like that. The odd thing is we used to have double doors there and they were not well installed, and old, and I kept telling Joe how easy it would be for someone to kick the doors in. We finally replaced them, and some windows, with brand new doors and that is the one he kicked in.

Glad you still find some time to craft. We all need to balance things in our life.

I did try using gamsol with a paint brush - it's okay on large areas but for cards I'll stick to the stumps. She uses a lot more layers of colour than I do as well but keep in mind she is doing fine art; I'm just making cards and regardless of how nice they are, I know a few days or weeks after the event they were made for, they are going to get tossed out.

It's a lovely day here in Canada too. We walked downtown and it felt like an April day! Unlike you, I live for summer and hot weather!

How I wish I had wild life like that in my front garden.

I love that cup!

You know, here in the Northeast it has actually felt very spring like! Rainy and all our snow has melted.

Wow, what a view out your window. And I would take that weather-seeing I do live in the Northeast and we have a BIG storm coming through tonight into tomorrow. Its been a weird winter so far-just above freezing , just below freezing-rain and then 5 miles away snow. And what a super mug. I love the name too. :) Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

Ha-love that mug:):) Really wonderful art as usual. I live in the NE and would LOVE to trade places and have that 65 degree weather for sure! What a lovely view outside your window. I'll try hard to send the cold your way if you would push the warm air to me:) Happy T day!

Even the deer are confused. They think it's springtime and time to mate. They are all really lovely, though.

I agree that securing your home is a priority. I would want that, too. I had a break in many years ago. The thief was familiar with my home before it was changed, and thought he could break in through the back of the garage. It had been walled over, but he managed to get in because he must have punched through the area he thought was still a door. The door had been left there, but I didn't even realize it was there, since I had only lived there a few months when this happened. I was on a business trip at the time, and had left my keys with my neighbor. It was her grandson who broke in. What a mess he made, so you can never be too careful.

That mug is wonderful. I think you got a fantastic gift. Thanks for sharing your postcard, your deer, and that fabulous new mug with us for T this soon-to-be Tuesday.

I was by earlier, but didn't leave you a comment, wanted to wait till T-time :))
It has rained steady for five days in a row, drought is over and we are working on next year's quota....LOL!
LOVE your new cup!!
I never used to lock my doors, now I keep them locked at all times when I'm home and when I'm gone. My neighborhood has changed and I don't feel as secure as I used to, especially since Dyna got old and sick, and I lost her. I know if anybody really wants in there is no stopping them....I just hope I'm never home if it happens. I am so looking forward to getting that new house built and getting moved away from here.
I love all the photos of the deer, such magnificent animals...( cried the first time I watched Bambi )
Don't complain about the weather.......it aint over yet....LOL!
Happy T-day my friend

Wow 7 deer in the yard! The most we've had is 5 if memory serves. We had two walk through on Sunday morning. We seen their tracks in the snow but don't often see them in the winter.
Great job with the house...the siding looks great and I'm sure it's a load off your mind without easy access.
Happy T day!

I will trade weather with you! Freezing drizzle, slush for today. Yes, i am so ready for Spring. That mug would be perfect for my girlies as they are night owls and stay up until all hours! I never would have guessed there used to be a window on that side of your house. Your bookmark is very cute. I love the idea of using colored paper behind the punched hole. I thought the bitty butterflies were stickers. What a delightful view from your window. We have deer in the area. I only know because I see their footprints in the snow. Have a very happy T day and enjoy your week.

Security is a priority, definitely. You did a good job. Invisible. I would never have thought there had been a door and a window. Well done.
Those deer are beautiful. What a privilege to have them outside your house.
Happy T-Day,

Might we see a string of black birds on your mantle come Halloween? Cute! And to think they're made of just cardboard. Lovely bookmark with those funky flowers - love those. You guys did a terrific job disappearing the window ... and the doors. I certainly can't tell in the photo that things don't match. Nice shot of your deer herd. I guess they're in the mood for spring ;-) Happy T Day, Deb! Hugs, Eileen

Isn't it fun to have deer visitors-I really really enjoy all of our wildlife-although they probably don't need the corn I feed them with all the acorns and hickory nuts out there with no snow-lol but they love and enjoy the food.
we had an odd door on the back of our house too when we moved in-they had used it for firewood storage but so not secure so we got rid of it too.
good luck with the digging-are doing that all my hand? or do you have a machine??
