T Stands for Warm Winter Wishes.....

Hello everyone!!! How was the rest of last week and the weekend for you?? We've been working on the house...duh.... The ditch is dug for the plumbing... did i tell you about that?? We had to dig 35 feet of ditch about 2 feet wide and 3 feet deep ... all by hand... It took us several days with just hubs and i and the neighbor helped too... Thank goodness for good neighbors.. let me tell you...That was a major hurdle done for us....

Mudding and sanding in the craftroom continues.... We had to redo and wrap some waterlines that we forgot.... frozen pipes reminded us... wasn't that nice? ....no..... So thats done... We are very VERY close to having half the room done... walls...ceiling ...period! And that is the side that most of my craftroom will be on... think worktables/countertop... island... But then we will start work on the other half...

That half will have shelves and be mostly a storage area...I don't think that will take half as long.... We will be doing the 'mud' a different way that hopefully will be better... The side i'm working (sanding) on now we did following a YouTube video... maybe that video would have worked for a professional but not us... It just made more work for us... live and learn...
We even bought some lights! Woohoo!!! I almost ended up with some fancy ones but we procrastinated too long. Have you ever done that? See a good sale and wait too long to take advantage of it???  Yep somebody scarfed those puppies up... Oh well... I think what we bought may not look as pretty but i think they will do a good job... and thats the main thing.. I need to SEE ! It is after all a converted garage... so its a little dark...

OH! And one last thing... ALL the doors upstairs have been replaced and new trim put in and baseboard all down the hallway... Now its just waiting for me to caulk and paint it... Always something...never done... Now do i work on the craftroom or the trim upstairs?????lol  I hope you enjoyed the sketches.. You know me always doodling.. :)  Happy Happy Tday!  Thank You Ms. Elizabeth for being such a wonderful host.... If you'd like to meet a great group of ladies for T please pop over to Elizabeth's and join the party... Hugs! deb

You are almost there, aren't you, dear? I don't have to be reminded about frozen pipes. I finally got mine taken care of by heat tape. I just plug the heat tape (which wraps around the pipes) in in late October and unplug in spring. No sense leaving the heater on all year long. I felt for you and the ditch.

I simply ADORE your lovely drawing and doodles. The winter wishes warmed me, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing your house update, your doodles, and your lovely lady and her drink with us for T this Tuesday.

Thanks for all the kind comments on my blog.
You have done so much work on that house than I am super impressed.
Too bad you couldn't hire a small backhoe to dig your ditch. That must have been so hard to do.
Your craft room will be amazing when you get it finished. Yes, good lighting is so important...especially as we get older!
Love your sketches as always.

It's been snowing here most of the night and still coming down. Yuck, shovelling?...maybe time to hire someone!

Renovations, always something to work on. I learned if I see something, especially if it's on sale, not to hesitate. All the work you are doing will be amazing and so worth it when you are finished. Looking forward to seeing your craft room. Happy T Day
