T Stands for Coloring, Origami, and a WIP.......

Hello all my T people!!! and everyone who comes to visit me! Its been a crazy week around here...RAIN ..OMGoodness rain.... and we didn't even catch the brunt of it.... I have no idea how many inches....But our Beaver Lake that was just last week a sad mud puddle is now over flowing its banks...only a few feet from topping the bridge that we cross to go into town....Wow! so ... yes rain ..glorious rain... I found some time to color my fawn in the above photo.... AND i finished a book ' Tick Tock ' by Dean Koontz... sometimes reading by flashlight when the power went out... and yes it was a spooky story......lol
When the power wasn't out one evening i tried my hand at this origami crane ...its a puff body crane..following instructions on YouTube... i've only ever made the flat body so that was fun... i get in an origami mood once in awhile... Its hard to find good instructions though but Jenny is wonderful...she goes slow and pauses and has good camera angles... I'll leave you the link.....and no Ms . Elizabeth... our wonderful host... that is not a new coffee cup... I've had it a few months now or longer and showed it a time or two... :)  Pssst... I almost forgot to tell you... i left the crane on the table at a restaurant ... i hope it made someone smile....

And here is a PostCard in progress.......  A family member saves me things...recycled things she thinks i might be able to use to make something..... Love it when friends and family think of me that way.. The little flower/leaf pattern came off a cardboard box that her drinks came in and she thought of me..  The butterfly and circles and dots are from magazine cutouts... Just having fun painting and trying to shade my colors...  Well thats about it for T this week... been mudding in the craftroom alot... Hubby is putting sheetrock up in the downstairs laundry room/ bathroom... progress.... OH! And we ordered the cabinets for the kitchen.... They will be in , in about 4-6 weeks...  Things are still moving in the right direction... Woohoo.... Happy happy T day!!! Hugs! deb

Pssst.... for anyone keeping track of such things... the first hummingbirds showed up at my house a couple days ago..... :)

Beautiful art, love the gorgeous fawn and the WIP. Glad you got some rain. The origami crane is lovely. Dean Koontz books are sometimes, spooky, that's true!
Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Lovely art work - is it time to go from ruled lines to an art journal yet?
We have had a rainy few days too...and will for another few days. I used to live in Dundas, ON and they had a major flood there when the catch basin filled with floating debris and the river flooded several roads and some people had several feet of water in their basement. What a mess.

My friends save me 'stuff' that they think I might use too...and I appreciate it too.

Have a great week
Violet

I put my hummingbird feeder out but have yet to see one. The rain has come north to us here in New England, along with some really raw weather, but its making everything get so green! You sounds like its been an adventurous week, between scary stories without power and high water. Glad it was a good one. Happy T day Deb. Hugs-Erika

Hi Deb, I always enjoy reading about your art-I have not tried orgami-that was cool you left the crane for someone to find.
we got lots of rain here too flooding everywhere and more rain coming this week-ugh
we first started seeing the little hummers on the 15th we have around a dozen or so now-nothing like we have had in the past-these storms over the last two years I believe has taken them to a different spot to land. we do enjoy them while they are here.
Happy T Day
Kathy

your fawn turned out gorgeous! and i would not have the Patience for Origami (folding a straight line is a real challenge for me), but i love it.
such a pity rain is way too much in some regions and lacking in others. all the best and happy t-day!

Beautiful art, the fawn looks so sweet.
Never tried origami, but I hope whoever found the one you left in the restaurant was glad to find it.
Happy T day.

Your fawn is so cute, lovely colours! I would love to find your crane on a restaurant table, I'm sure it brightened someone's day - that's very kind of you! Sounds like your craft room is progressing nicely too! Happy T Day! J :-)

How kind of you to leave that delightful crane :) We've been having rain here, too, but it's sunny today at last :) We saw our first hummingbird a couple of days ago, too, though I hear there've been sightings earlier. I love when they come to my feeder :)

Happy T Tuesday :)

Happy T day and a very happy post except for the rain and lack of power. Good to know that you worked on through both.. Love the artwork and the folding. Someone will have loved that for sure

Too bad you forgot the crane at the restaurant. I would have smiled had I found it :D You need to make more. Yay, for the rain and Lake Beaver! Now I hope the rain lets up for a while so it can soak in and replenish the earth. Your deer is charming ;-)

Happy T-day, Deb! Hugs, Eileen

Sweet fawn, and lovely postcard! I am still putting a little red crane on my Christmas tree every year, that I think my daughter made... probably 20 yrs ago. Fun idea to leave yours at the restaurant...Happy T Day!

Lovely fawn. I have a tree in the sunroom decorated with origami cranes I made. I'm sure the crane you left at the restaurant made someone happy.
