T Stands for Picture Heavy Post......

Happy Happy T Day everyone!!! We made it!! Another T Tuesday!  How are you?? Did you have a good week?? I hope so! Its been crazy busy... Remember all that rain from last week?? Well who knew.. rain makes grass grow... no really it does...lol Whew!  But ofcourse i've had time to sketch and color... She is done in Prismacolor and smoothed with Gamsol........One of these days i need to take the time and sit down and watch a few videos on how to actually draw a face... I know there are 'rules' to follow.. but for now i'm just having fun figuring it out on my own...she's a little wonky.... but  she's just another face on my journey...

My friend and fellow T partier Eileen has been a busy girl and she sent me these gorgeous PostCards! Gosh i just love that butterfly...

And this one goes to show you just have to keep your eye out for cute little images to use in arts and crafts... The kitty she found on a tissue box.... ! Thank you so much Eileen! You sure do brighten my day!

I've had a few people question the fawn status around here... Well this is where we stand.... A whole bunch of some seriously pregnant does...lol .... Look at those bellies!!!

Some of them are so heavy they look about to burst...  This one above MUST be having twins...lol

Speaking of twins... does anyone remember last years twins?? I was too lazy to dig out a photo of them when they were little... But the above photo i took earlier this evening.. Thats mom... pregnant ..again... and the twins that are now yearlings...  This is the same mom who took in that orphan fawn last year... remember... I'm happy to say the orphan is doing well and made it through the winter..And he still often hangs out with these three..  The twins are old enough that i can tell one is a boy and one a girl... the boy has his little nubby horns starting to grow in ... I wonder if she will have twins again this year?  Once she has the new fawn(s) these yearlings will begin to wander away from her..... but i have also seen them stay around and help babysit too...

I do apologize for such a long post.... If your up for it  continue on for a House Update.... Above is the last picture i showed you of the Craftroom.........

Theres been alot of this going on in there... Sanding , mudding...etc... And theres my waterbottle for Ms. Elizabeth! I drink some and pour some in my mud to help the consistency..

Above is the updated picture taken a day or two ago... I hesitated to show you because you almost really can't tell that anythings been done.. but trust me... there has... I have just a little more ceiling to skim coat then i can give it all  a light sanding then its time to paint!!! Paint Party!!! ... My goal is to be unpacking crafty boxes by my birthday the third week of June....As long as nothing comes up i think i can make it...... Cross your fingers , toes and eyeballs!!

Now while i've been burying my head in the craftroom... Hubby has decided to tackle the laundry room/ downstairs 1/2 bath... Above is what it looked like after he tore out the remaining old sheetrock...Oy vey......

Now LOOK! I have walls!!!

A sink and counter top will go over there along with a pole...

And theres my washer and dryer that survived the trip from CA..  As you can see lots of taping and floating and mudding still need to happen in there...  But that room will feel so tiny to do after the massive craftroom!! lol  want to have a shelf or maybe two shelves above the washer and dryer..

He still has more sheetrock to install and the air cond/heating vents need to get insulated...  but boy we're doing good... Just wish there was more of us to go around... Kitchen cabinets coming June 1st...So we have to get the kitchen painted before then...  Well i'm so glad you all came to visit... I just love our weekly get togethers...  i'll be around to visit!! Big Hugs!! deb

Wow! That pretty much sums up how I feel about how much you have accomplished! You two are amazing. Love the postcards and deer photos too.
I'm not great at drawing faces either - so I rarely do.

We had a cold, windy and rainy weekend. Ugh! Luckily we are safe from flooding unlike a lot of cities and towns. We braved a couple of walks in the park and got a couple nice bird photos which I'll post on the blog later today.

Have a great week!

Oh wow! You guys have been super busy!! Love seeing the pictures as it progresses. And love seeing the deer, too. Won't be long and there will be fawns! Have a great week. :)

There is no wonky in drawing faces; there can be whimsy though.

When I lamented one of my face drawings in our Life Book group, Tamara Laporte (founder and artist extraordinaire) left a comment that, when she started drawing her "lollipop girls," her brother said, "Uhh, Tam, you know ... the proportions are all wrong." lol

The deer photos are wonderful. I'm in awe that you recognize them year after year. I remember about the twins and the orphan. Aww ...

I sure can see the difference in your craft-room-to-be. Everything looks so pristine and smooth. I don't think I can cross my toes, but fingers and eyeballs - you got it!

First of all, again huge kudos to you and hubby for taking on such a HUGE renovating task Deb! How lucky to have and be able to see the deer and fawns so close. Your face art is marvelous and i have learned that the more you make them the better they get. Just play! You can always go back and tweak them;)Happy T day!

Anyone who has never done home remodeling has no idea how much you have done from the first photo above to the finished mudding. Sand and mud, mud and sand. Feel the wall for bumps and cracks, sand and mud. I have been there, so I know!

So glad the deer and fawns have found a safe haven where they can relax and not worry about being hunted. You seem to help and watch out for them, too.

Your face is wonderful. You probably don't need any lessons, and whatever you might think you missed, you will find on the internet and YouTube, I'm sure. Right now, I think it's marvelous.

So good of Eileen to send postcards. You and she have taken up a great bond. So glad for the two of you, as well as Krisha.

Thanks for sharing your water to drink and mud, as well as your art and deer with us for T this soon to be Tuesday. And thank you beyond belief for your lovely comments on my blog. They mean the world to me.

Wow! You have been working so hard! I know what it's like as we are building as well. We will be getting a plasterer in as it's too much for my hubby to do on his own. (I'm not like you, I have no DIY skills). I can't wait to see your craft room finished. And you kitchen cabinets arriving soon. How exciting!
It's good to see it all taking shape.
The deer are a sight to behold. What a privilege. So obviously they were not scared off by the noisy neighbours. I do remember you deer pictures from last year. I'm already looking forward to seeing the little fawns.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Love the girlie you drew. I've often thought about dying my hair blue. My hair is salt and pepper so in order for the blue to show up, I'd have to have my hair stripped. Not sure I want to do that. The kitty on your postcard is too cute. Wow is all I can manage about the deer. I've never seen so many. I know we have them here, but they must stay deeper in the woods behind the house. Only saw them step out of the mist very early one morning. Maybe that's why I never see them. Too early for me. Your craft room is coming along. And it looks like you'll have a nice area to do laundry too. Thanks for sharing your progress. Happy T Day

Hi Deb love your art and also your gifted postcards-that butterfly is just too cool.
I loved the updates on your deer-we have not seen any deer at all here-but then I am not putting out corn now til next fall.
You two are getting soooo much accomplished in your new home-I applaud you for sticking to it and getting it done.
big hugs from the ozarks

Oh How lovely to have those deer around! Good to see the progress in your house - I am betting you can do it - go girl!!!
Love the postcards Eilleen sent you!
Just to explain our cinema trips -we use a 2 for I ticket for the cinema so it is quite a bargain. sometimes we go to Silver Screen showing which is for over 55's - usually the films are about 4-6months behind their original showing date, but at £3 each and coffee and biscuit included it is a better bargain still - these showings are at 11 and 2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays swapping times for different films on the 2 days. Of course we don't take food to those - in fact we only took food this time because the film we wanted to see was at lunch time and being diabetic I had to eat(which we did when we got in while the adverts were on) Happy T Day, Chrisx

LOOKS as if you are getting lots and lots of work done on your house. So much fun when you finally see it all coming together. Lots of work though. That is a sweet photo of the pregnant deer. We had one last year that had twins for the second year in a row and they were all often together. Fun to watch!

I think she is lovely...YouTube is a great resource... and eyes seem to be an important focal point that really can make the picture. You are doing a great job! happy T day!
