I'd Likd to Start Posting More........

..........just short little posts...... kinda' what i'm up' to posts... sometimes i have more photos to share than one can feasibly fit on a single T party post......So don't be surprised if i pop in here now and then throughout the week...testing the waters......

Look at that DRAGON!!! I did it!!!  This one was certainly a challenge ... but 'shinyorigami got me through it... When you start out on an origami adventure you never know if you can see it through to the end... perhaps you'll be halfway through and you won't understand a step or the paper just won't cooperate.. I would definitely not say this one was easy.... about 7 minutes into it , it started to get difficult... i had to pause and rewind and replay many times... I'm sure the 13 min video was more like 30 min... but it was fun...then hubby came home around midnight from his fishing trip and with an evil glint in his eye told me it looked like a brontosaurus with wings.... MEN!  lol

This is the only piece i've tried with shinyorigami but the instructions were easy to follow...great camera angles...  i wouldn't say this was a beginner piece but then i've only made three different pieces of origami so technically i'm a beginner and i have a dragon!!!   Hope your having an awesome weekend! We're looking to the sky hoping for rain.. but its not looking too promising.....Hugs! deb

And when you pop up, I'll be by to enjoy the visit with you. Your origami dragon is fabulous. Wish I knew more about it. My friend Scott is a gem with origami. But I doubt he would ever create anything this lovely.

We had storms here today and it knocked out my internet for a few hours. I hope you don't get storms, just gentle welcoming rain.

BTW, I just found a blog/web site that might interest you. It's called Art Marks and gives you 30 days of prompts where you simply draw lines and marks in a notebook. Feel free to check it out:

You can also view and download the prompts there, too. The challenge began July 15 and goes through August 13. If I weren't already so busy this month, I'd join it myself. I may try to do it in August.

Well done, I find origami fascinating and of course impossible to do, much too fiddly. My husband does it and while in Japan we saw a man making teeny, tiny cranes, dozens of them.

It looks great but that is one craft that I have ZERO interest in. I just do not like it at all.

We were supposed to get yet another thunderstorm this afternoon (rain hard for awhile last night) but it never came and we had a great day in Sarnia - took my friend who is a widow and lonely with us for a 2 hour ferry ride up and down the St. Clair River....and then had veggie burgers and fries under the Blue Water Bridge. Awesome day.....but we are once again under a severe thunderstorm warning! What a strange summer we are having weather wise. Hope you get some rain.

That takes a lot of patience! :)
Looks like a dragon to me. Then again I've been watching Game of Thrones--LOL! ;)

Wow, your dragon is spectacular - I love it! The instructions are great, what fun you must have had creating it and the paper design you choose is perfect too 😀. Have a great day! J 😊

I knew it was a dragon right away, Deb. It reminds me of when we tried to figure out June's paper many-pointed star. I never did. Did you give up too?
Video might have helped - lol.
