T Stands for .............

........OMGosh i don't know what T stands for this week.... Drama maybe... of the crafting kind.... busyness ... craziness .... ?? I'll let you decide....lol

Remember the beautiful things i received from Valerie a couple weeks ago???  Well she politely asked me.... pssst.... did you look in the bag??? Well i 'thought' i had... so i looked again and LOOK what i found.... a beautiful stencil!  Thank you so much Valerie.. I cannot wait to try it...

Then the gifts just keep coming.... Pearshaped Chris sent me a beautiful card ..........

With lots of goodies.... And now i'm really worried thinking i didn't do enough for this swap.......... Everyone has been so generous and i thank you from the bottom of my heart......

Hubs has been hard at work putting more shelves up for me....

I have more staining to do and on the counter you can see the whale tail board he finished and i'am now staining... If you don't know what that is... stay tuned.........

This is part of the old kitchen cabinets... I took the doors off and i'am in the process of painting it...It will go under the island... stay tuned........

....and here's the bloody owl.....sigh..... here is really where the 'drama' starts..... i found this owl...at a flea mkt  $1... Apparently he's made out of rubber...flexible you know... well i thought hey.... rubber is close to plastic... well i'm sure a few T partiers could have straightened me out on that theory.... but here we go... So i had the idea to paint him black and highlight him with... you guessed it my go to color...copper.... He is highly detailed so it would show off all his feathers...anyway.... so for me step one was to spray him with one of those fusion paints ...you know the one that bonds to plastic...because he's like you know... RUBBER.. which might as well be plastic...um....NooooOOooo....  Trust me when i say it was a holy mess..... stay tuned........

For the life of me i cannot remember is i showed you my GREAT find at the dump..... now don't cringe... I cleaned it within an inch of its life... what is it?  Here's a hint... each circle is a shelf.... its OOoooold... I would love to know its history... where it spent most of its life... but i saved it... don't be scared by the green... hubby just shakes his head... i have PLANS... Now i will tell you... just for your future reference.... the top of each shelf has vinyl on it and apparently... vinyl IS close enough to plastic and the fusion paint stuck!!   Stay tuned..........

Aaaahhh now here's another little bit of drama this week.... Have you ever done this??? Covered a bottle with masking tape..... I remember doing this back in GirlScouts... and it must have impressed me enough to try it as an adult...  so i have spent some glorious evenings watching TV and tearing and sticking masking tape.... then in GirlScouts we (probably the adults) put stain on the masking tape.... I remember loving it! Well i put stain on mine... um...yeah.... didn't turn out so well... but i have an idea to resurrect it... Stay tuned.....

If you popped by the blog earlier in the week you saw my latest drawing.... Well hubby tried to make some copies with our computer but that was a little drama there too... So i ended up taking it to Staples where they did a really passable job... I'm going to  add a few things to it and turn them into PostCards.... !! :)

And last but by no means least my friend Eileen sent me a beautiful PostCard!! Using mopped up leftover paint and a stencil and homemade modeling paste... I just love it Eileen!! Thank you so very  much!! You sure brightened my drama filled day!!!  Just like all the T ladies do when they visit from Ms. Elizabeth' !! I hope i didn't wear you out with all the goings on.... I'll be around to visit!!! Hugs! deb

PS... note the soda in the picture of my dump save! :)

You seem to be busy, busy, busy, what a lot of re-modeling jobs you have going, and I am looking forward to seeing them when they are finished. Love the card you made into your new header, it's gorgeous. Glad you found your stencil! I chose it for you because you always showed the photos of the deer. Have fun, happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

As soon as I saw the icon on my side bar, I knew the stencil was from Valerie. Yes, she is way, way generous. I look forward to seeing what you do with YOURS, so maybe it will give me ideas for how to use mine. Right now, I'm just stroking it lovingly.

Chris is another very, very generous person. She sent me TWO cards and I didn't even get one to her.

Those new shelves look great even unstained. Not sure but maybe we should have called this post stay tuned T (grin).

I started laughing as soon as I saw your owl. Rubber melts under those conditions. I'm surprised you don't have a gooey mess to clean up, but I'll stay tuned.

LOVE those photocopies of your soon-to-be postcards. They are fabulous and so bright and colorful, too. I like Eileen's postcard, too.

But what has me guessing are the circles and spindles near the diet soda. I know, I know. I have to wait and stay tuned. Thanks for this fun post for T this Tuesday!

A lot going on in this post and some great gifts from the girls.

Looks like a fine find with the shelves though I can't imagine how they will look when assembled.

Always love your artwork and the prints will make amazing postcards

Happy T Day

Love Chrissie xx

well, despite some mishaps along the way just look at all the wonderful mail and goodies you received! That stencil is so you:) Looks like you have again been very busy with lots of artsy experimentation. The table is sweeet but I am curious as to the color choice.
Lovely postcard art. I find that Staples does a great job on color prints. Happy T day!

That was so thoughtful of Valerie to send you a deer stencil as your posts often feature them feeding on your lawn - perfect 😁. Chris has worked her magic too with that ATC and happy mail goodies, just wonderful! You have had a creative week with all your projects and I can't wait to see the next phases, your craft room is looking amazing, I bet you're pleased to have all that space 😁. Wishing you a very Happy T Day! J 😊

You've been greeting the mail carrier with great joy lately, getting so many treats :)

It's funny how things seem like they'll work but then sometimes don't work at all. It's worth experimenting, tho, coz so often it works out well. Your green find looks like it'll be great!

Happy T Tuesday

Well, you got me on the edge of my seat with all this drama! I can't wait to read the next installment!
Your gifts and art in the mail are awesome. I did not participate this year as i didn't have time. Next year I'll make sure I am prepared and make some goodies in advance.
I am curious what the whaletail board is for... Your craftroom is really taking shape now all the shelves are up and using those kitchen cabinets is a brilliant idea!
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca

OMGosh, Deb, that's just the perfect stencil for you! How thoughtul of Valerie. Yay, we both have a piece from Chris' 4th T-party limited edition series. I love it.

That's a very clever way to recycle those kitchen cabinets. With all the open shelves and cabnets, you'll be able to find supplies in the blink of an eye.

I have no idea what that ugly green thing could be or what you see in it that hubby and I don't ;-)

In my Girl Scout troop, we used shoe polish over the masking tape. It made it look like leather.

I'm glad you liked my card, beautiful :D

Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

Valerie is a great "giver" and a very special type of friend for sure.
I did get your post card, even took a picture of it.....then forgot to post it...LOL! your not the only one with drama girlfriend!
I really do not have any remorse about moving at ALL......I've been wanting out of Shafter for 20 + years, had to sell the house out from under Bob to get moved...haha!
Looking forward to seeing your dump-treasure restored and put to use.
Belated T-day wishes

The circles and spindles look like parts to a little side table I picked up at the thrift store. My "circles" are more oval in shape and stack one about another with the spindles. Hope to see yours in its finished stage soon so I can compare.

You are one busy, creative lady! Love your 'finds' and what you do with them. I'm guessing the found and now green bits used to be a multi-tiered flower stand? Looking forward to seeing it finished.
