Inspiration........

.............. You never know where inspiration to create will come from.........  This is half of a two page ad for a car in a magazine... lol .i want to make a painting of it... The 'worm' looks like an inspired place to write a quote doesn't it???  Can you think of a good quote for this pic??

The last week was kinda stressful for me..... culminating yesterday... or so i thought ...but more likely today...  The electric company has been going around trimming trees... Now after the two hurricanes your sympathies may lie with the electric company...lol  I do realize they are only trying to keep tree limbs etc... off the lines but in my opinion they can be rather heavy handed with their cutting and often leave a terrible hacking job in their wake...  deformed trees....

Hubby and i walked around our property looking to see where they might cut and we don't see anything... the clearance to lines is suppose to be 10 ft... But my 10ft and their 10 ft seem to be two different animals........Hubby and i have to go to town today so we will no doubt see what they have done when we get back...  What can i say.. Its the Tree Hugger in me......... I'am quite ready for them to move on... Thank goodness i think they only come around ever 5 years or so... Hugs! deb

we have a rural electric coop and I must say they have been the best electric co we have ever had. I think it has been around 7 years now but we had a horrific ice storm here-that took out most every single electric pole in the county-being so rural we were the last to get power took 19 days. the year after that they started cutting tree limbs near the lines to save having such an event like that one-so it is a good thing to be pro active.
looks like a good challenge for you with the painting-I will be curious what you desugb hugs Kathy

They do that here too and we live in the city. Our neighbour two doors down looked at her tree and said, "That's not too bad a job" but Joe and I started to laugh and said, "You haven't seen it coming from the other way have you?" She went across the street and her mouth fell open...the tree was so ugly from that side it was terrible. At least they didn't butcher up the part she looks at from her front porch.

By the way, dozens of Hydro trucks from Ontario are on their way to Florida to help out! That's what neighbours do!

Love the bird and worm inspiration!

Funny quote:
I think we consider too much the good luck of the early bird and not enough the bad luck of the early worm.
Franklin D. Roosevelt

I don't think they train the branch cutters in aesthetics. ;)

Can't wait to see your painting. it's a cool ad. And I know what you mean about the tree trimming. I don't know which side I am on, but of course the electric company doesn't have to look at the poor trees, and let's be realistic, how often are the trees really going to be an issue? Hugs-Erika

I can't wait to see your early bird painting. I think it's a great idea.

I live in an old neighborhood with old growth trees. The phone, cable, and electric lines all run out back of my house. For years and years the electric company hired hacks. They did more damage to the trees than they did good to the electric wires. Concerned groups got together and forced the electric company to rethink their ways. The groups supplied photos and videos to the electric company and the city council. The electric company now hires only arborists who know where to cut the branches such that they don't harm the trees, but clear the lines. My main concern now is they don't pick up after themselves like they should. BTW, in my neighborhood, the main problem now is squirrels eat into the lines.

I love how the two magazine pieces work together and it would make such a cool painting ๐Ÿ˜. Hope all goes well for the trees and wishing you a happy week ahead! J ๐Ÿ˜Š p.s. I looked through my quote book and in no particular order some possible quotes are:

Dream it with all your mind! Believe it with all your heart! Achieve it with all your might!

Always believe something wonderful is about to happen

Dream as big as you want, don't let limited thinking stop you

Know deep in your heart you are destined to do amazing things

Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience (Emerson)

Dreams and dedication are a powerful combination (Longgood)

Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself (Roy T. Bennett)
