Christmas Shenanigans .....

...........first i'd like to thank everyone who came by to spend a few minutes with me while i waxed eloquent on my sleepless nights......and left such wonderful comments.... I'm happy to say that the last two nights have seen a return to normal and its at least been 7/7:30 am before i wake... whew...... Sure glad that doesn't happen often... I thought you might like to see the Mr. and Mrs. Santa I mentioned in that post... yellow with age but still lends a warmth and cheer to the holiday...

Hubby may not be too happy that i snapped this photo nor that i posted it here....shhhhh.... but it was a photo op that i could not pass up....If you did not see the previous post .... Hubby is wrapped up in Christmas afghans his mother ,who has been gone a few years now, made for us over the years.... And i thought it looked like he was wrapped up in his mothers love..........

......speaking of shenanigans ... I made some Tigerbutter last night... Have you ever heard of it?? Maybe you call it something else?  Well you take 8 squares of almond bark and melt it in the microwave for 2 minutes.... Add 1 cup of peanut butter and stir until all combined....

Now i have a nice flexible rubbermaid lid that i pour it into... But you just have to remember that its easier to remove the Tigerbutter when solid if you have a flexible container and do NOT use a glass container as it may shatter with the heat... Melt half a bag..or 6 oz of milk chocolate chips... Original recipe calls for semisweet... but semisweet has a 'wang' to it that i just cannot get past.. so i use milk chocolate................

Drop by spoonfuls on top of the almond bark/peanutbutter mixture and swirl around with a fork.... put in frig to cool

Then score and break into pieces.... Its something quick and easy to make and great for gift giving... ships well...  On a curious side note... I always like this recipe because its a play on my maiden name... which is Tigar but pronounced just like the animal... yeah... try growing up with that last name....lol

And last but not least my T partiers.... my Christmas PostCard for my swap partners.... I painted the back ground... I hope i succeeded in making it look like she was skating on ice... the large snowflakes are metallic ice blue paint and i hope to goodness the white snowflakes stayed glued on....  I hope everyone is enjoying the lead up to Christmas!! I'll be around to visit!! Hugs! deb

*** If you thought i was going to Eureka Springs.... well we didn't make it as my company came down sick and that just wouldn't be fun not feeling well... so... maybe another time... :(

I never heard of tigerbutter, but it sure looks good. :) I really like those vintage Mr and Mrs Claus. They remind me of something my grandmother had and they gave me a warm feeling looking at them. And I think it's nice you have some holiday throws that were made for you. Not only are they nice to use to also must bring back good memories. :) Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

Enjoyed the photo of your husband and LOVED the Mr. and Mrs. Santa. Very kitsch. And even though it's not my style, I simply ADORE kitsch. I also adore that postcard. You draw SO well.

Like you, I'm not fond of dark chocolate, prefering milk chocolate instead. Your tiger butter sounds rich and decadent. Thanks for sharing it and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

I enjoyed your early posts and it was lovely to see your hubby all snug under his blanket, shhh ...lol 😉. Mr. And Mrs. Claus look lovely with all their twinkle lights and thanks for sharing your recipe. The sunflower recipe cards are so pretty too! Wow, the Christmas postcard scene that you created is amazing, I love all the details and shading - beautiful 😁. Wishing you a Happy T Day! J 😊

Your Santa and Mrs. Claus ornaments are charming. I won't tell you took a picture of your Hubby. I thought the sentiment of him wrapped in his mother's love was very sweet. My family might like the Tigerbutter. I don't mind semi-sweet chocolate, but I'm not a fan of peanut butter. Cute postcard of your frosty skater. She looks so happy enjoying the cold and snow. Not me. I'm counting down until the first day of Summer. (190 days to go!) Have a Happy T Day!

Your hubby looks comfy wrapped up. Nice to have such reminders of loved ones who are no longer with us.

Love the postcard. Looks great.

My hubby hates peanut butter (as does one grandson) and I don't like chocolate (yes, I know I'm crazy) so no, I have never made that. My girls would probably like it though.

If you have time, pop over to my blog and see the art journal page I posted that indicates how I feel about winter!!
