Lets Play Catch Up........

.......I think they wilted beautifully...... ...and they were still wonderfully back lit this morning.. I added a 'Napa' filter to enhance them just a little.

Yes , i think playing catch up is the order of the day..  LOOK! The bird houses made it to the trees!!!  I think we are too late this year...

But even so something may decide to live in it and perhaps they will be good if the birds decide to have a second brood later in the summer..  We shall see........

My poor little gargoyles as you know were crumbling and falling apart..

I hope this paint job and clear spray will help them hold together..  I think the dry brushing came out fair thee well...

The first of several drink references in this post Elizabeth... I've just tried to get in the habit that if i want to take a picture of something i make sure a drink is in the photo too..lol   Doodling some roses here.. or at least my idea of doodle roses... I like them here....You can click the photo to enlarge...

But not so much when i colored them .... If i do it again i wouldn't color those tear drop shapes black...

A project ... a project.. You know i'am always doing something.. This project has been long waiting in the wings... i think the sheer tediousness of it had me daunted.. That and i'am not very skillful with a glue gun...

Burned fingers... yes and yes.. Now do you know what seed pods these are..??? They are CrepeMyrtle seed pods... should i tell you i hauled a bag of these pods from Tx to Ca THEN to Arkansas?? And i'am just now doing the deed?? No i don't think i'll tell you.. What would you think of me..............whoops........ Should i tell you that the cardboard cone i was going to use is double or triple this size...? But in a sane moment i decided life was too short and found a smaller one...lol ...... whoops... I'm just baring my soul here...lol Perseverance is key ...  stay tuned...

Another face found her way into my sketchbook... No reference just me fiddling..

I've decided not to color her... just leave her sketchy..  You can see i took out the earrings... Aahhh she's awful wonky... I was very dismayed when i had hubby look at me straight on and i could see his ears... that meant i had to try to draw in ears for her  lol...... I did a little more after this photo... I'll post it again...

Here i sketched another one of Ginger Cooks painting lessons.. I 'm feeling the need to try to paint this one..

I finished up some triage on a Christmas wreath and got it put away.. Felt good to get it done...  All those little balls are styrofoam! and get damaged very easily.. It was a mess after the move from CA ... So i touched up painted all the balls and sprayed it with a glossy clear coat.. Hopefully next year i can put it out.. Its a very difficult piece to store.. I have it in a softsided wreath holder and there lies the problem.. but it is so large that i do not find a hard case for it..

And last but not least is my 'Boredom' themed PostCard for Ms. Eileen... I'am seldom if ever bored... But i have to say there are times watching TV in the evening that i'am bored with our selection.. and in that case i reach for the sketch book and divide my attention between the TV and doodling..  Now, this is not my doodle... the only reference i could find for it is someone called Singleton.. He or she has some lovely  doodles..  I colored and added some glitter and shipped it off to Eileen!! Hope everyone had a fabulous week...I'll be around to visit my fellow T partiers.. I'am ever so grateful for all your visits and comments and if your not a Tpartier i'll be around to visit you too.. Hugs! deb

My goodness! You guys are always so busy! Many projects to see--nice! I always love to see what you've been up to. Have a productive week, my friend. :)

Love all your projects - as usual! The gargoyles turned out great. I just picked the first of our daffodils last week. They love my garden and multiply like crazy. I do believe in the last few years I've given away hundreds of them! The grape hyacinths are too full as well but a lot of people don't seem to want them. I think they look great with daffodils.

I was blown away by the bird house. It may be an optical illusion, but the house looked rusty to me. It was a beautiful color and I'm sure there will be an occupant soon.

I hope you figure a way to keep those gargoyles from further deteriorating. I hope the paint and sealer do the trick. And your seed pod project has me intrigued, too.

Your roses drawing is lovely, and so is the lady. I had to laugh that you take a photo of your art AND your drink in order to have it qualify for a t post. So glad you do that, and it makes me happy when you do. Thanks for sharing your art, your craft projects, and your drinks with us for T this week.

I think you picked a perfect day to catch up. I know I have a bunch of little things to do to catch up, but don't know when that is going to happen. :) Glad your day was such a success, and happy T day to you! Hugs-Erika

Oodles of wonderful art again, definitely no time for boredom. The bird-house looks great, a sort of luxury villa for the birds. Love the gargoyles, too, and the rose, and.... Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

you really don´t seem to have a Moment to sit still;) it is incredible how much you create within one week. i had the same issue with the birdhouses... hung up last week, i´m afraid too late for a first breed. but then, i´m confident it will be of any use now or later...
have a great week! happy t-day!

What a great post, your creativity as always is amazing! I love those cute gargoyles and they are totally transformed with your tender loving care 😁. Your drawings are gorgeous too, I love the rich colours that you used and I can't wait to see what you do with the lovely jug/pitcher of flowers sketch. Wow, the seeds look tricky I'm glad you decided to reduce the size of this make ...lol 😉. Such pretty happy mail too! Have a fabulous week and wishing you a very Happy T Day Deb! J 😊 x

Amazing art and projects, you have been busy. I loved seeing your bird house in place and hope you get some residents for it this season.
The make over on the gargoyles looks great as well, I hope what you did keeps them safe when the weather changes at the end of the year.
Happy T day wishes.

Wow! You always have so much on the go! The bird houses have turned out really wsell. You may well be right about it being a bit too late, but with the weather so bad, you might get some stragglers.
I love the gargoyles and what you did with them. I hope they won't deteriorate further. They look so 'cute'. (Yes, I know, they are not supposed to be cute)
The seeds on the cone got me baffled... What are you creating? I suppose you will show us in good time. Keep us in suspense!
Of course your 'doodles' are really good and the postcard is beautiful. I'm sure Eileen will be thrilled to receive it.
It is not obvious from the photo just how big that wreath is but I believe you when you say it is big. I hope you can keep it safe somewhere until Christmas.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

The birds will love the new home at least they take them as a shelter from bad
weather, mine here do this the whole winter.Well done - your recue of the gargoyles went very well! They look amazing! What color would you take instead of black for the tear drop shapes? It's always difficult to get what we exact want.
I like them very much and think if all would be colored it would look super!
I wouldn't have perseverance fot this cones.... oh gosh! Once I started a wreath with roses made of old bookpaper and I just made 5 or sic roses and took them for a card - no, not my thing to finish that.. this projects here reminds me of this!
Good to make faces - I didn't draw a face for too long- shame on me!Looking forward how she looks in the end!
And also no time for Ginger Cook... my gosh why does a day not have twice as much hours? Your wreath is amazing! Your Boredom theme postcard is just beautiful!
Have a creative week Deb!
Hugs, Susi

Very pretty wilting daffodils, Deb. I don't know what a 'Napa' filter is. I'm guessing either a coffee filter or a camera filter - lol. The bird houses are awesome! I hope they'll attract some birds later this year. Whether birds have a second brood depends on the weather, right? I hope the gargoyles hold up this time. They are so adorably ugly ;-) Do you remember the tiny Christmas ornament wreath I made hot gluing tiny pine cones onto a curtain ring? If you'd like some teeny tiny pine cones for your crafting pleasure and finger burning I might be able to get some to you this fall. We're planning a road trip to TX. I'm so excited!

We had a huge wreath for our last Stateside house. I stored it in our basement hung on nail and covered with a sheet to keep dust off. Just an idea.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

So many fun things to look at. The birdhouse turned out great. Even if no one decides to live in it, it's still a pretty addition to your yard/garden. I really love your gargoyles. I like your roses, too, even with the black tear drops. They look Goth or maybe Steampunk. I wouldn't have the patience to paint all the berries or to glue the Crepe Myrtle seed pods. Have a Happy T Day

You are always so busy creating. Its a treat to visit your blog. Lately there have been days when I can barely get off the couch. I'm getting up to speed again with a little art but not spending much time on the computer. Your postcard would make me smile - I'm sure it will be appreciated.

You have a lot of sketching going on. I rather like the black teardrops on your roses. It makes them look more abstract somehow. I like the variety of subjects that you have in your sketchbook.
And your birdhouse is Lovely!!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

How did I miss this post?! It’s so chock full I don’t know what to single out. The birdhouse(s) comes to mind since we have been watching new ones her to see if anything is interested in settling in. So far, bluebirds have the inside track, but it’s still cold here in NJ! I don’t know the timeline for this.
