T stands for crafT room time.....

No matter how busy life gets .... how crazy .. how unreasonable if i can step away for a little bit and create something.... then life slows down... i can breathe... and things come into perspective.. Maybe its just keeping my hands busy... maybe its making my mind concentrate on something else instead of running in circles...  Whatever it is i'am ever so thankful that art and craftiness is a part of my everyday life...

Years ago when hubby and i went through that spell of pouring ceramics.......  i poured these guys... i think they are meant to be magnets on the frig.. At least thats what i'm using them for .. But they are pretty heavy so we'll see..

I just LOVE the expressions on them...  i painted them black and dry brushed a few different shades of orange on them AND just to be a little 'different' ..............

I put a little pink on the right side of each one... It doesn't show up well in the pics... I wanted it to be subtle  .. but i do like orange and pink together.. I'm just not sure just how Halloweeny it is.. lol

I'd love to know if YOU can see the pink... maybe its TOO subtle?? and  i need to go over it again.. lol ..

And just the other day i caught this Monarch butterfly on my purple mum... the sun was shining on it and it was such a great photo opportunity.. I RAN for my camera  and shot thru a dirty window... You can tell in the header....  i think it gives it a 'painterly effect'.. you?

Well my fellow T partiers it HAS been a heck of a week... But i have a down day tomorrow and T party visits are on my 'to do' list.. If you're not a part of the T party i hope you'll consider joining us... Ms. Elizabeth has brought together a great group of ladies for T every Tuesday.. We herald from all over the World...  We show pictures and share about travel, food, art, family and fun... just about anything .. The only requirement is that you show a picture of a drink you've enjoyed this week... or anything drink related . For a better explanation hop on over to our hosts blog and Ms. Elizabeth will explain it much better than i.. Hugs! deb

Beautiful capture of the monarch especially against the vibrant purple flowers!! I do see bits of pink in your delightful and whimsical pumpkin faces and I like it very much! Funny, I just started dipping my fingers into some clay again after a long time. I was inspired by a class and will share more once I get through the projects:) Happy T day!

Most of our monarchs have left. There are still a few around but very few. Same with hummingbirds. Our minister just posted yesterday that he still has two that come to feed every day. We don't have any at all.

I can see that bit of pink on the cheeks too. Just enough I think. Its there but subtle.

I know what you mean about getting some art time Deb. After a few days or after something stressful happening, I have to have art time. It puts my mind someplace better than where it started. Hope you have a wonderful T day Deb. Hugs-Erika

Your monarch is gorgeous. I haven't seen one all year, but I've seen several swallowtails. I was thrilled they are still in your area.

I had to enlarge the images to see the pink, but then it was obvious. Not too subtle if you see them in the right light. They will make great fridge magnets if the magnet is strong enough. They certainly go well with your coffee. Thanks for sharing your monarch and your lovely clay pieces, as well as your coffee with us for T this almost Tuesday.

Your ceramic pumpkin faces look amazing. They will make great magnets, but maybe you have something else in mind?

The expressions on the pumpkin faces are hilarious, Deb. I don't see the pink in the pictures, but so what. You did a great job with dry brushing over black. They look like orange pumpkins on a dark night. Ooooooo ...

Pretty monarch shot. Yes, it looks painterly - especially the flowers at bottom and the horizontal line on the right.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

Great pumpkiins! I see the subtle pink shading and it looks good. "making" is soothing to the soul and it's good that you can find time in each day to be creative. I am a firm believer that it makes your mind and body more healthy.

I can't see the pink on my computer screen. They look quite seasonal to me with their expressive faces, and the fridge sounds like a great display space for them. I hope it works :)

I love the monarch posing for your shot. Happy T Tuesday

I love the pumpkin dudes. Their expressions have so much personality. Yes, on a few photos, I can see the pink tint. Awesome that you were able to capture the image of the butterfly. The wings almost look stained glass. Happy T Day

I think I can see a little pink on the side, but might have missed it if you didn't point it out. Those faces are so funny!

Just got your letter! Going to sit down with a fresh cup of coffee and we'll have a nice chat. ;)

I think just the right amount of subtle pink - it just lifts the face! They are all so cute though! Lucky you to see the Monarch - it makes a lovely photo! Happy T day! Chrisx

Sorry to be so late visiting this T Day, we have been on a 2 week vacation visiting our friends in Maine, America and Tuesday was our last day with them. We flew back yesterday and arrived back home today, so I figured better late then never ...lol 😉.
Your fun pumpkin ceramic faces are amazing - I love them all! Your photo of the Monarch butterfly is beautiful too, I saw actually this butterfly for the first time on our vacation and was amazed to see how large they are and how they hover and turn as they fly! Happy belated T Day wishes! J 😊 x
