..........and no not a touchdown.... lol  But i scored with some after Holiday sales....  I have a 'thing' for Amarillos.... These, above were $1 each... They may or may not survive. They've spent too long in a box on a shelf.. but for a dollar i'll give it a go.. Meet 'Ferrari', 'Amigo', and 'Stargazer from left to right.. I may have 'Ferrari' and 'Amigo' mixed up but we'll figure it out if they survive and bloom..

I also have a 'thing' for Christmas Cactus'... they've been surprisingly easy for me to grow in the past... I had quite the collection in TX... I miss having them so i bought my first one this year... Its a peachy color..

Someone donated some Poinsettias to my place of work and after the Holidays i got to take two home.. They were really soggy wet when i got them... One is drying out nicely but the other is struggling.. I think i'm going to try replacing some of the dirt.. Hopefully that will help it dry out..

Now... THIS score literally had me on cloud 9 aaalll day! Now if your really into Christmas canvases on your wall then you could keep these as is... but if your me you see the 'possibilities'!! The larger one i paid $1.50 each.. i got 4.. I wish i could tell you the size.. maybe 11x16 and the smaller ones are 7x7 and i paid 80 cents each for them.. i got 4 of each size.. I could have got more but where would i put them.. ? Sand them down...some gesso and then i can paint whatever i want on them!!! Woot woot!!

And last but not least ... magnets!! I have a 'thing' for magnets on my frig... These are kinda cute as is...but i paid 30cents each for them and what a great substrate to put whatever i want on them.. and they already have the magnet on the back.. !!

.......and i thought you might like a peek at the island in my craftroom ...

Hubby has been working at finishing it lately..... Cubbies... i  .  have ... cubbies..... i LOVE cubbies... Thanks so much for stopping by!! I have the next three days off from work.. Woot woot!!!! Big Hugs! deb

I hope your amaryllis bulbs do well and that your poinsettias survive their over-watering. It looks like you've got a great space for your craft room. The cubbies look handy!

Hope your bulbs grow. I love amaryllis as well. I've tried to keep poinsettias from one year to the next but it was always a dismal failure so I've given up on that. I followed a friend's suggestions but still a failure.
Nice score on the box frames! I'm sure you will convert them into something you can display all year.
Nice work going on in that craft room - cubbies! Love cubbies. You will be living in the craft room when its done....mine is in the basement...nothing like yours!

Good luck with the plants. Those are great finds to repurpose any way you wish! Enjoy your days off. :)

Great scores, Deb. I love after-Christmas shopping, though we don't have much of it here. The creamy white poinsettias are beautiful. What a deal on the canvases, Wow, I love how your craft island is coming along! Hugs, Eileen

Now those are some GREAT scores!! I missed all of the great after holiday's sale' We were all down sick with a "SUPER BUG" that started in early November and has just now finally let go.

I just read an article about poinsettias in MaryJanesFarm magazine - you can root them in water! Worth trying to save a few branches from your rescued ones, just to see what happens.
