Its Just Hot.........

I think this squirrel says it better than i could... It's HOT...melty hot...can't move.. don't want to do anything hot.... Got my walk in yesterday and there was not a breath of air..... a storm was hanging out to our NorthWest but just would not come over and give us a good drenching..

........here are just a couple pictures i've taken recently... Above is a Red-breasted Grosbeak.. so pretty.. this is the male.. the female is a drab brown...

.........and two Red-headed Woodpeckers.... They love the suet i put out... Now don't laugh.. thats my bird feeder and thats how we keep the squirrels and crows off.... mostly... Once in awhile a rather acrobatic ,persistent squirrel will make it up there...  the crows have been making a nuisance of themselves lately... i think they've taken up residence in our yard the last two years..  They like the bread i put out and the watermelon rinds.. they leave me feathers now and then...I'm getting quite the collection...  i hope your finding some peace in this crazy , crazy world... Hugs! deb

That squirrel looks quite at home lounging there Debs . We could do with a bit of that hot weather - but forget the sultry - it is only mildly warm here.

It has been scorching hot here in Ontario too...temperatures around 100F.
That's an interesting bird feeder but as long as it works, that's the main thing. I wish we could get a couple of those birds at our feeders but we are too far into the city and no trees around. We usually get at least one rose-breasted grosbeak stop in for a bit early in the spring but they don't stay long.
It's a bit cooler today for the first time in weeks but by the end of the week we will be having temperatures near 100F again. Ugh.
Stay cool and thanks for stopping by my blog too. I appreciate your comments.

Laughed when I saw the squirrel!
Love crows, but they are so smart and can get into everything. I wonder what you will make with all the feathers you've been collecting...hummm.
I hope it cools off. Been an extra hot spring here and looks like it's going to be the same for the summer. Bleh!
Hang in there. I love seeing all your critter visitors. :)
